#SBPT15: Quotes Fun with Nori Featuring Pitch Perfect!

7.19.2015
Today, I'm so happy to host the well-loved Nori of Readwritelove28! (I mean, you can't not love that dog) for the SBPT, hosted by The Book Bratz! So without further ado, here's Nori!

Hello everyone! My name is Nori and I’m the founder/blogger at ReadWriteLove28.com.
I decided to combine one of my favorite books with one of my favorite movies, and make a book quote/movie GIF mashup! Here are some of my favorite quotes from Grave Mercy with GIFs from Pitch Perfect that appear to describe the quote perfectly (at least in my opinion).

“When one consorts with assassins, one must expect to dance along the edge of a knife once or twice.”

There are certain things that you can hide from...but not everything.

“It is this kindness of his that unsettles me most. I can dodge a blow or block a knife. I am impervious to poison and know a dozen ways to escape a chokehold or garrote wire. But kindness? I do not know how to defend against that.”

I know that it’s sometimes easier to hide and shield yourself from other people in order to escape harm, but throughout the story/movie, the characters in Grave Mercy and Pitch Perfect learn that sometimes, the perfect cure to problems can be true friends.

“Surely He does not give us hearts so we may spend our lives ignoring them.”

There is romance both in the book and the movie, and I loved both! There was no insta-love in either; instead, they both featured slow burn romances.

“People hear and see what they expect to hear and see.”

There are situations in Grave Mercy and Pitch Perfect where the characters were judged just because they looked a certain way, or because someone thought that they aren’t good enough. Guess what? One of the reasons I love this book and movie is because the characters don’t care! They know that they are awesome- and they flaunt it!

Now, as far as relating my love for Grave Mercy and Pitch Perfect? Well, I’ll let Rebel Wilson take care of this one for me:
